NC Housing Finance Agency Downpayment Assistance is a program that offers interest-free, deferred payment loan for closing costs and down-payments. Statewide

Borrowers must meet income eligibility requirements. Funds may be used for a down-payment or closing costs.

The sales price cannot exceed $ 225000.

Benefit Details

Deferred payment, no-interest loans for closing costs or down-payment assistance. Maximum loan of $8,000.

Benefit: Second-mortgage loans for closing costs or down-payment.
Loan Term:30 years
Owner Occupancy Required:Yes
Other Program Comments:Repayment is deferred for 30 years, or if the home is sold, transferred, or refinanced, or if it is no longer the borrower's principal residence. Application is made through participating lenders.
