Program Overview

City of Gastonia Homeownership Individual Development Accounts is a program that matches savings for homebuying expenses. The buyer must purchase a home within the city limits of Gastonia.

Who is eligible for this program?

Participants must be able to save at least $50 per month, and must be residents of Gaston County. Participation is limited to low income families.

Property Eligibility Requirements

The focus of the program is on property in the West Highland, East Highland, Crescent Lane, Mountain View, or LInwood Terrace areas.

Benefit Details

Savings are matched in a ratio of 4:1, up to a maximum of $4,000.
